With all the hype around AJAX, it seems like a cryptic technology that it might seem you have to be a Google to understand it.
But actually there ain't anything that should intimidate you. At the core AJAX is a way of getting the most out of your browser. It gives you the richness of desktop applications. You don't have to wait a few long seconds to wait for a page to reload. You can drag and drop the containers around the webpage. GMail is the most popular AJAX application.
AJAX is Asynchronous JavaScript And XML and it is not a new technology. It has been glorified by Google in recent times and it has definelty been for the benefit of the users.
Do put in your thoughts on AJAX.
Until then, you can read more about AJAX here
The link is now changed..thanks for pointing out!
